Statistics PhD Student

University of California, Irvine

I am a second year PhD student in statistics at the University of California, Irvine, working on statistical methodologies for infectious diseases under the supervision of Vladimir Minin. I am also part of the data science team at Tidepool, working to make diabetes data more accessible, actionable, and meaningful for people with diabetes, their care teams, and researchers.

I previously earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics and statistics from South Dakota State University, where I was the first Arnold K. Skeie E-Commerce Analytics Graduate Fellow and a Daschle Student Fellow. My research focused on text data and model-based clustering.
